Lesson Learned…

When you decide to work from home as a virtual assistant or stay at home entrepreneur of any sort, the thought crosses your mind, this is going to be sweet! I can stay in my pj’s all day long and no one will ever know.

I’ve done it a few times, crawled out of bed, threw my hair in a messy ponytail, walked over to my desk and powered up my laptop. Then I go upstairs and grab a coffee, breakfast and back downstairs to start my day.

The other business that I have is that I am a professional house sitter. So, by hiring me, you get a 2 for 1. House sitter and an admin that can run your business or clean up your office while you are on holidays.

Today, however, I learned my lesson and I vow for it to never happen again. I slept in until 7:30 am which is awesome. I’m house sitting out in the middle of nowhere and I’m absolutely loving it! I got up, came upstairs, made a coffee, grabbed a muffin and started my day.

The owners had told me that the housekeepers would be coming today. Didn’t think much of it and just went about my day. I realized of course when it was too late, that I wasn’t dressed, hadn’t brushed my teeth and wasn’t wearing arm deodorant. What a way to ruin a first impression. Epic fail on my part.

So, like I said. From now on, I will be getting dressed every morning. Arm deodorant, brushing my teeth and doing something with my hair.

It’s the small and simple things that make a great first impression. Remember that every time you get out of bed. You have a new day to make a great first impression.
